Xiaomi's next flagships are leaving China much sooner than last year's. On Monday, 2 November, the company's official X account posted that the "Xiaomi 18 Pro Series is going global this November", and asked followers which market they were waiting for, as first reported by Tech Advisor.

What Xiaomi has confirmed

The confirmation is short. Xiaomi has said that:

  • the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will launch in global markets;
  • the launch will happen in November 2026.

Founder and CEO Lei Jun had already said at the end of September that the Pro models would reach international buyers this year. What is new is the timing: a global release roughly two months after the Chinese debut in late September. For comparison, the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra took about five months, arriving in Western markets in February.

Xiaomi has not yet named a launch date, a list of countries or official European prices.

What is still a rumour

Several reports have circulated about European pricing, and they don't agree with each other. According to Tech Advisor's summary of those reports:

  • Xiaomi 18 Pro: between about €1,399 and €1,449;
  • Xiaomi 18 Pro Max: between about €1,784 and €1,849, reportedly with 512 GB of storage as standard.

Treat these numbers as unconfirmed until Xiaomi announces them. If they are accurate, they would sit well above the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's European launch price of €1,499, which matches a wider trend of flagship prices climbing year on year.

Why it matters

Last year Xiaomi skipped a global release of the 17 Pro series entirely and only brought the Ultra model west. Launching both Pro models internationally gives buyers in Europe a large-screen Xiaomi alternative to Samsung's and Google's flagships before the holiday season.

Before you pre-order

A new flagship is a big spend, so a few checks help:

  • Charging: Xiaomi phones typically support fast wired charging. Our USB-C charger guide explains which charger you actually need and why the fastest speeds often require the maker's own brick.
  • Battery: Recent Chinese flagships increasingly use silicon-carbon cells. Our explainer on silicon-carbon batteries covers what that changes for capacity and ageing.
  • Fast-charging myths: see is fast charging bad for your battery? before you worry about daily top-ups.

We'll update this story when Xiaomi confirms the launch date, markets and prices.
