Honor has launched its new gaming line-up at its "WIN Esports Universe Carnival" in Hangzhou today. There are three phones, the WIN 2, WIN RT2 and WIN Turbo2, plus a gaming tablet, earbuds and controllers. Everything is for China only for now, and prices below are in yuan after China's national subsidy, as reported by IT Home from the launch.
The three phones side by side
| WIN 2 | WIN RT2 | WIN Turbo2 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chip | Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 |
| Cooling | Dual fans | Dual fans | No fan |
| Battery | 10,100 mAh | 12,070 mAh | 12,070 mAh |
| Charging | 100 W wired, 80 W wireless | Not detailed at launch | 90 W wired |
| Main camera | 200 MP, 1/1.4-inch | 200 MP, 1/1.55-inch | 50 MP Sony |
| From (after subsidy) | 4,999 yuan | 3,149 yuan | 2,251.65 yuan |
All three share a 2K, 185 Hz OLED screen with Honor's own display and touch chips, a 5,000 Hz instant touch-sampling rate, dual large speakers and IP68/IP69/IP69K dust and water resistance.
WIN 2: the flagship
The WIN 2 is one of the first phones with Qualcomm's 2 nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, clocked up to 5.01 GHz. Honor claims an AnTuTu score of 5,702,964 from its own lab, and says the new "Dongfeng" dual-fan cooler moves 1.19 CFM of air. It also adds a programmable WIN key, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint reader and USB 3.2. Prices run from 4,999 yuan (12/256 GB) to 7,199 yuan for the 16 GB/1 TB model with a regional subsidy.
WIN RT2: the same fans for less
The RT2 drops to last year's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but keeps the dual fans and the 2K 185 Hz screen while adding a bigger 12,070 mAh battery. When we covered the RT2's battery reveal, teasers hinted it might skip the twin fans; the launch details say it has them. It starts at 3,149 yuan and goes on sale today.
WIN Turbo2: battery first
The cheapest model has no fan and a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, but the same 12,070 mAh battery, 90 W charging and 27 W reverse wired charging on a 6.89-inch screen. Honor claims up to 17.7 hours of continuous gaming. It costs 2,251.65 yuan for 8/256 GB.
Also announced
The WIN Tablet has an 8.4-inch 240 Hz OLED screen and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 from 3,699 yuan, alongside WIN earbuds (269 yuan) and a WIN game controller (399 yuan).
Our verdict
Match the phone to how hard you play
If you play demanding games for long sessions, the WIN 2's newer chip and fans make the most sense. The RT2 looks like the value pick: older but still flagship silicon, the same cooling and a bigger battery. The Turbo2 suits lighter games and anyone who mainly wants two-day battery life. We haven't tested any of them, and Honor hasn't announced global availability. Whichever you choose, a good gaming headset and a power bank still help on the road.
