Govee has released the Outdoor Deck Lights 2 (model H3401) in the US. They follow the original deck lights from 2024. The product page lists them at $119.99 for a 10-pack, and Notebookcheck spotted the launch. Here's what you get, based on Govee's specs.
Ten lights on one 44-foot string
The kit has 10 bulbs on a 44 ft (about 13.4 m) string, meant to be screwed or stuck onto a fence, wall or deck railing. You can connect up to two strings for longer runs. Each light mounts with one screw or with the adhesive backing.
Every bulb can have its own colour
Govee uses 16-bit IC chips and RGBWIC LEDs, so each light's colour and brightness can be set separately in the Govee Home app. That allows gradients and moving effects along the fence, not just one colour everywhere. White light goes from a very warm 1,000K to a cool 10,000K.
More scenes and music sync
The app offers 100+ preset scenes and 10 music modes that pulse in time with what you're playing. The original model listed 60+ scenes. You can also set schedules, for example to switch the lights on at sunset.
Matter, Alexa and Google
Control works over Bluetooth and Wi‑Fi, by app or by voice with Alexa and Google Assistant. Matter support means the lights can also join other ecosystems such as Apple Home or SmartThings. If you're new to the standard, our Matter and Thread explainer covers how it works. Outdoor Wi‑Fi devices also need a decent signal at the far end of the garden, and a mesh Wi‑Fi system can help with that.
Brightness: more in total, a bit less per bulb
Govee quotes 1,500 lumens in total, or 150 lumens per bulb. The original deck lights were rated at up to 180 lumens per light, so each new bulb is slightly dimmer on paper. These are accent lights, not floodlights.
Tougher weather rating
The new lights are rated IP67, up from IP65 on the original lamp body, so they're better protected against dust and immersion. They work from −20 °C to 40 °C (−4 °F to 104 °F), and Govee claims a 25,000-hour LED lifespan.
Price and availability
The Deck Lights 2 cost $119.99 on Govee's US store. Notebookcheck also found them for less on Govee's Amazon storefront. Govee hasn't said whether they'll come to Europe. We haven't tested them, so the specs above are Govee's own claims.
