Zero Motorcycles marked its 20th anniversary at EICMA 2026 in Milan with a batch of new models and tech, Electrek reports. The headline: a lightweight street bike aimed at riders moving up from e-bikes and small e-motos.

Project Ventura: Zero's cheapest street bike yet

Project Ventura has supermoto-style looks, 17-inch wheels and a target price of under US $8,000. Zero quotes:

  • peak power of over 20 kW (27 hp);
  • sustained top speed of 65 mph (105 km/h) and a momentary maximum of 81 mph (130 km/h);
  • estimated real-world range of 93 miles (150 km) — battery capacity hasn't been announced;
  • onboard Level 2 AC charging, standard ABS, Bluetooth, room for a passenger.

It is expected in summer 2027. Zero says it wants the bike to be a natural next step for the millions of people who have been riding e-bikes and e-motos in recent years.

  • Zero XE: the lightweight electric dirt bike, previously street-legal only in Europe, gets a homologated US version with lights and a dash, revised gearing and a claimed 60 mph (97 km/h) top speed. Spring 2027, from $6,295.
  • Zero LS3: the scooter debuts in Europe with a 75 mph (121 km/h) top speed, up to 93 miles (150 km) of range from three batteries totalling 5.6 kWh (one removable under the seat), plus heated grips and seat. Spring 2027.
  • New app (2027): custom ride modes, charger finder, ride history, dashboard layout and charging limits.

DC fast charging in 2027

Zero is targeting 2027 for a DC fast-charging system for compatible Street and Dual Sport bikes, aiming at 20–80% in under 30 minutes. European bikes will use CCS, North American ones NACS, and a retrofit for some existing bikes is in development. Pricing and the compatibility list aren't out yet.
