Blizzard has confirmed the global launch of World of Warcraft: Forever. According to Blizzard News, the new version goes live on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST (23:00 UTC) — that's 00:00 CET and 01:00 Kyiv time on November 5.

What WoW: Forever is

Blizzard calls it a "permanent home" alongside modern and Classic World of Warcraft. The story is set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, and takes players through the original continents to level 60.

  • New and reimagined zones with more than 1,000 new quests, including Mount Hyjal, Shen'dralas, the Riverglades (150+ quests in the mid-30s to mid-40s) and Zephras Isle.
  • Skyborne, a new playable race starting on Zephras Isle (levels 1–12): Horde Windshapers can be Shamans, Alliance High-Order Skyborne can be Mages.
  • New race/class combos such as Orc Mages, Troll Warlocks, Undead Paladins, Human Hunters, Gnome Priests and Dwarf Shamans.

Rulesets, presets and new systems

Instead of choosing a realm, you pick a ruleset — Normal, PvP, Roleplay or Roleplay PvP; a Hardcore ruleset follows some time after launch. On first login you choose a Classic (SD models, fewer modern UI helpers) or Enhanced (HD models, quest markers, one-bag, transmog) preset, adjustable later. Characters get a two-part name unique per region, a shared camping system adds group buffs, and the account-wide Legacy System rewards exploring with multiple characters.
