Nvidia board partners in China are reportedly raising RTX 50 prices this week — up to about $494 on RTX 5090 D V2, $419 on RTX 5080 and $30 on RTX 5060.

Graphics cards are getting more expensive again. Nvidia's add-in card partners in China have confirmed price increases for GeForce RTX 50-series "Blackwell" cards scheduled for this week, TechPowerUp reports, citing Chinese outlet ChannelGate. Colorful and Galax are among the brands said to have already shared the new pricing with retailers.

Reported increases in China

  • RTX 5090 D V2: 2,200–3,300 RMB (about $329–494)
  • RTX 5080: 2,500–2,800 RMB (about $374–419)
  • RTX 5070 Ti: 1,000 RMB (about $150)
  • RTX 5070: 600–900 RMB (about $90–135)
  • RTX 5060 Ti 16GB: 250–400 RMB (about $37–60)
  • RTX 5060 Ti 8GB: 100–150 RMB (about $15–22)
  • RTX 5060: 150–200 RMB (about $22–30)

The changes apply to retail partners first, so shelf prices may take a week or two to follow.

Why

The report blames demand outstripping supply, tight memory availability and rising raw-material costs such as copper. Memory makers have prioritised AI data-centre orders for more than a year, pushing up prices for RAM, SSDs and GPU memory alike.

According to the same report, other Nvidia series and AMD and Intel cards aren't affected by this round, although AMD Radeon prices are expected to rise again this month.

What it means for buyers

These figures are for the Chinese market and haven't been confirmed by Nvidia as global MSRP changes. Still, Chinese channel pricing often signals wider trends. If you're shopping now, compare total cost per frame rather than the model number, and consider the second-hand market carefully — our guides on how to choose a graphics card and how to buy a used graphics card can help.
