vivo has brought its new flagship X500 series to Taiwan. The X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max launched on 30 October alongside the X Fold6 foldable. According to Taiwanese outlets TechNews and KOCPC, the series is built around cameras, and the Pro Max carries a 200-megapixel telephoto lens.
Three phones, one camera focus
All three models use a 50MP main camera with Sony's LYTIA L910 sensor and vivo's V3+ imaging chip. The Pro models add a VS1 chip and what vivo calls Imaging NPU 2.0. The biggest differences are in the zoom:

The Pro Max's telephoto can reach a 400mm equivalent with vivo's G2 Ultra teleconverter, while the other two reach 200mm with the G2 add-on. The Pro Max and Pro record 4K at 240 fps for slow motion and support 10-bit Log video. All three models have 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, eSIM support and screens of up to 144Hz.
The Pro Max is 7.95 mm thick in its black version despite the 7,800 mAh battery. vivo's launch material does not name the cell chemistry, but many recent phones with batteries this large use silicon-carbon cells; our silicon-carbon battery explainer explains how they work. Prices and memory costs
In Taiwan the X500 costs NT$39,990 (12GB + 256GB) or NT$43,990 (12GB + 512GB). The X500 Pro is NT$49,990 (12GB + 256GB). The Pro Max starts at NT$55,990 for 12GB + 512GB, with a 16GB + 512GB model for NT$58,990 and a photographer bundle with 1TB for NT$74,990. The X Fold6 costs NT$67,990.
vivo Taiwan general manager Chen Yi-ting told TechNews that the 16GB Pro Max was requested by the local team, and Taiwan is the only overseas market to get it. She also said vivo expects memory prices to keep rising until at least the first quarter of 2027. That is pushing phone prices up across the market, and vivo will try to avoid passing costs straight on to buyers. Despite that, vivo's X-series sales in Taiwan are up about 20% this year, she said.
There is no word yet on when the X500 family will reach Europe.
