Apple Home Collection: a doorbell, lock, cameras and thermostats made with LG and Schneider
Apple's new smart home lineup, co-developed with LG and Schneider Electric, sets up with one tap and lives in the Home app. Prices start at $39.95; sales begin in December.

Alongside the HomeView display, Apple has announced Apple Home Collection, a range of smart home accessories it designed together with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The idea is simple: products that are set up with one tap on an iPhone and managed entirely in the Home app, with no extra app or account. Apple says Home app data is end-to-end encrypted, so neither Apple nor its partners can read it.
Sales start in December, and some items will follow in early 2027.
Cameras and doorbell (LG)
All four LG cameras record up to 2.5K video and can recognise people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles and packages. Footage is stored in iCloud+ (10 days of event history), so there is no separate camera subscription. Built-in storage keeps recording if Wi-Fi drops.
- Video Doorbell Wired — $249.95. Two cameras: a 2.5K front camera for visitors and a Full HD camera pointing down at packages, plus a spotlight. The chime plays through HomeView or HomePod.
- Floodlight Cam — $399.95, with motion-activated dual floodlights and colour night vision.
- Outdoor Cam Plug-In — $299.95, with colour night vision.
- Indoor Cam Plug-In — $199.95. It tilts down to stop watching when the first family member comes home.
Smart lock (LG)
The LG Smart Deadbolt Lock ($349.95) uses Ultra Wideband to tell when someone with a home key on an iPhone or Apple Watch is approaching, and unlocks automatically. You can also tap your phone or watch, use the PIN pad, or use a hidden backup key. It supports Matter and Aliro and works locally, so core functions keep working without internet. Guests can be given access from the Home app.
Thermostats and sensors
There are two Smart Thermostats, one from LG and one from Schneider Home, both $199.95, and matching temperature/humidity sensors at $39.95. The Home app's Adaptive Temperature adjusts heating and cooling depending on whether people are home, asleep or away. Both are Matter compatible and DIY-friendly.
Availability
Every device supports Thread. The cameras and doorbell are sold in the US, Canada and the UK; the lock, thermostats and sensors are for the US and Canada. In the US, Apple Retail will also offer paid professional installation through ADT.
Our take
Apple has relied on partners for Home accessories for years. Co-designing a full set, from the front door to the thermostat, is its most direct challenge yet to Ring and Google Nest.
