BYD has put its Great Han (Da Han) luxury electric sedan on sale in China, Electrek reports. It is the brand’s first fully electric D-segment flagship under the Dynasty series, joining the Great Tang SUV.

Price and range

Three variants start from 235,900 yuan (about $35,000). All use a 102.326 kWh second-generation Blade battery.

The AWD car adds a 200 kW front motor to the rear unit. Figures are CLTC (China’s cycle), not WLTP or EPA.

Charging and driver assists

With Flash Charging, BYD quotes 10% to 70% in five minutes and 10% to 97% in nine minutes — the same headline times as on the Europe-bound Atto 8, and dependent on Flash Charging hardware.

Every Great Han includes a roof LiDAR and BYD’s God’s Eye B assistance suite, with Navigate on Autopilot on highways and in cities plus remote parking, according to Electrek.

Size and kit

At 5,256 × 1,999 × 1,510 mm with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, the sedan is in S-Class long-wheelbase territory. Electrek also lists DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering and “zero-gravity” front seats.

We have not driven the Great Han; range, charge times and assist claims are BYD’s as reported by Electrek. There is no Europe price or date in this launch coverage.
