Samsung expands Galaxy AI and Bixby to more languages
Live Translate and related Galaxy AI tools add Hungarian and Malay (24 languages total); Now Nudge gains eight languages; Bixby adds Polish, Thai and Vietnamese.
Samsung announced on 14 October 2026 that it is widening language support across Galaxy AI and Bixby, so more people can use on-device AI features in their own language.
What Galaxy AI gains
Translation, transcription and summarisation tools are first in line. Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter and Transcript Assist now include Hungarian and Malay, which Samsung says brings features such as Live Translate to 24 languages.
Now Nudge — the feature that suggests a next step based on what is on screen — adds eight languages: Dutch, Filipino, Gujarati, Hungarian, Malay, Romanian, Swedish and Turkish. That also reaches a 24-language total, according to Samsung.
Bixby’s new languages
Bixby, Samsung’s conversational device agent, adds Polish, Thai and Vietnamese, bringing it to 12 languages. Samsung says users can ask for what they need in everyday wording without knowing the exact settings name.
When it arrives
Samsung says the new Bixby languages began rolling out on 14 October 2026. The additional Galaxy AI languages are due in the coming weeks; some can be downloaded as language packs from Settings. Timing can vary by device and country.
