iPhone Duo pre-orders open today: foldable specs, pricing and shipping

Apple says customers can pre-order iPhone Duo — its first foldable iPhone — beginning Friday, 16 October at 5 a.m. Pacific Time on apple.com and in the Apple Store app. Apple’s update frames the day around ordering, accessories and ways to pay, not a new hardware redesign.

When it ships

According to Apple and MacRumors, devices begin arriving Friday, 23 October in the United States and more than 70 other countries and regions (including Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Singapore and the UK). Another 28 markets follow on 30 October.

What Apple says is inside

Apple describes iPhone Duo as its thinnest iPhone when open, with an inner display about 50% larger than iPhone 18 Pro Max’s screen and a closed 5.4-inch outer display that it says delivers about 90% of the screen area of iPhone 18 Pro in a pocketable size. Measured as rectangles, Apple lists the inner diagonal at 7.58 inches and the outer at 5.36 inches (viewable area is smaller because of rounded corners).

• A20 Pro chip and a dual-battery layout for all-day use
• Cameras including 48MP Fusion Main (with optical-quality 2× telephoto) and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide, plus Center Stage and an under-display FaceTime camera on the inner screen
• IP68 splash, water and dust resistance (lab rating: up to 6 m for 30 minutes)
• Colors: Star White and Night Sky
• iOS 27 adapted for folding, Split View multitasking and StandBy on either display
• Siri AI (Apple Intelligence) in beta in English with iOS 27; Apple notes China and some regions have different Apple Intelligence availability
