OnePlus 16 launches in China with a 200MP camera and a 9,000mAh battery
OnePlus's new flagship pairs a 6.78-inch 185Hz display with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, 100W charging and a 200MP main camera — but it isn't expected in the US or Europe.

OnePlus has officially launched the OnePlus 16 in China. Many of its specifications were teased in the weeks before the event, and the full list confirms a substantial upgrade over last year's OnePlus 15 — although, as PhoneArena reports, the phone is not expected to come to the US or Europe.
Display and performance
The OnePlus 16 uses a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 2772 × 1272 resolution, a refresh rate of up to 185Hz and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and runs Android 17 with ColorOS 17 in China.
Memory options are 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, with 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
Battery and charging
The headline number is the 9,000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Cameras
The biggest camera change is a new 200MP main sensor (f/1.6), replacing the trio of 50MP cameras on the OnePlus 15. It is joined by:
- a 50MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.0)
- a 50MP telephoto camera (f/2.6) with 3x optical zoom
- a 50MP front camera (f/2.0)
Other features
- Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0
- IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings
- USB 3.2 Gen 1 over USB‑C
Availability
The phone is launching in China first. OnePlus has not confirmed a wider international release; PhoneArena notes the model is not planned for the US or European markets. We'll update if OnePlus announces global availability or pricing outside China.
